Enrollment Analysis: American Indian students comprised 0.6% of Glen Rose ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 11 American Indian students enrolled in Glen Rose ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 21.4% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Glen Rose ISD schools welcomed 1,967 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.6% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Glen Rose ISD roughly covers schools within Somervell County and has a main office in Glen Rose.

Among the four schools in Glen Rose ISD schools, Glen Rose High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of six students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
