There were four Pacific Islander students enrolled in Brock ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 300% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Brock ISD schools welcomed 2,085 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Brock ISD roughly covers schools within Parker County and has a main office in Brock.

Among the four schools in Brock ISD schools, Brock Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of three students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
