Weatherford ISD schools Education: 5 Pacific Islander students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were five Pacific Islander students enrolled in Weatherford ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 150% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Weatherford ISD schools welcomed 8,255 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Weatherford ISD roughly covers schools within Parker County and has a main office in Weatherford.

Among the 10 schools in Weatherford ISD schools, Ikard Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of two students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
