There were 86 multiracial students enrolled in Caddo Mills ISD schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 86 multiracial students enrolled in Caddo Mills ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 36.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Caddo Mills ISD schools welcomed 2,642 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 3.3% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Caddo Mills ISD roughly covers schools within Hunt County and has a main office in Caddo Mills.

Among the five schools in Caddo Mills ISD schools, Kathryn Griffis Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 23 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
