Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.2% of the students were girls, and 49.8% were boys.
Data also showed that the majority of students were white, representing 66.2% of the Glen Rose High School total enrollment.
Among the five schools in Somervell County, Glen Rose Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 498 students, while Glen Rose Junior High School welcomed 462 students and ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.
Glen Rose High School is a part of Glen Rose ISD, which roughly covers schools within Somervell County with its main office in Glen Rose.
In the previous school year, Glen Rose High School also had the highest number of students among Somervell County schools.
Texas is found to be one of the least educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.
