The Greenville Police Department will be holding the Teen Police Academy this summer from July 18th through July 22nd at the Greenville Police Department. Class this year will start at 9 a.m. and will be finished by 4 p.m. Topics will include; Crime Scene Investigation, Accident Investigation, Gang Investigation, Narcotics Investigation, History of Law Enforcement, Patrol Procedures, SWAT Team, Negotiations Team, and Challenges of Policing in Today’s Society. Students will also get to hear presentations from the Greenville ISD Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Game Wardens, and the local Texas Ranger. Students will get to participate in working a mock crime scene, defensive tactics, and mock traffic stops, and will also go to the Texas A&M – Commerce Ropes Course for team building and confidence building.
