Located halfway between Fort Worth and Weatherford, Aledo is more than a family-friendly bedroom community for nearby urban employment centers. The new team member will provide excellent customer service by being a primary point of contact for residents and businesses by answering phones and greeting people; supports utility billing by establishing and terminating utility services, maintaining records and reports, and assisting customers with inquiries. This position provides support to the Finance team, the Community Development team and general administrative and clerical support to all City functions. Individuals in this position have extensive public contact, both in person and through the telephone. Tact, courtesy, and firmness are required.
A high school diploma or GED and at least two years administrative experience performing administrative, clerical and cash handling functions. Must be motivated, willing to learn, work in a fast-paced exciting environment and grow professionally.
The salary range is $15.75 per hour, DOQ. The City provides excellent benefits including health and retirement. A completed city application and resume is required for consideration.
