Health Sciences Open House: Exploring Healthcare Careers
Date: Saturday, February 25, 2023Time: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Eastview Campus (Department areas + Room 8500)
Hear directly from health science students:
“I have wanted to be a nurse since I was 16. Life caused me to put my dreams on hold until about two years ago. Both of my babies started school, and momma started school right with them. My ultimate goal is to become an RN and work in the cath lab. My ACC professors are so supportive and want to see us succeed. They really make sure we have what we need.” - Sabrina Matlock, ACC License in Vocational Nursing student
“If you apply yourself and have a good support system, there are ways to get where you want to be! When I graduated high school in 2015, I didn't know what I wanted to do. It took me six years after high school to get here. I wouldn't change a thing. I gained so much knowledge, skills, and friendship in college. ACC allows you to open so many doors for the future.” - Brittany Nguyen, Dental Hygiene student
“There are many resources that help throughout my learning experience that let me know that I have support from financial aid, student life, mental health counseling, community resources, student advisors, computer access in the libraries, and so much more. The journey itself is rewarding. You won't regret starting.” - Margo Freeman, ACC Vocational Nursing student
