City of Dallas Department and Facility Holiday Closures

The City of Dallas offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Please see below for a list of departments and facility closures.

Dallas Public Libraries: 

All libraries will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Sanitation:

The Sanitation administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of the holiday. However, there will be no scheduled interruption or delayed service for the collection operations, transfer stations and the McCommas Bluff Landfill operations on that day.

Parks & Recreation: 

Dallas Park and Recreation Department Administrative Offices, Recreation Centers, Program/ Recreational Facilities and Venues are closed Monday, Jan. 16. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Municipal Courts: 

Dallas Municipal Courts Building will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of the holiday. The courts building will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 17. For more information or updates, please click on the link https://dallascityhall.com/departments/courtdetentionservices/Pages/Hours.aspx 

Dallas Water Utilities:

Dallas Water Utilities administrative and customer services offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 for the holiday.

For emergency water service requests, customers may call 3-1-1. Non-emergency requests can be submitted here or on OurDallas mobile app available for download on Apple and Android devices.
