Built to Last, a North Carolina-based home furnishings company, is locating a new manufacturing facility in Granbury.
The Granbury Chamber of Commerce said the new facility will be located on Highway 51 at the former site of Equi-Brand. Chamber President Mike Scott said the addition of Built to Last will be a major plus for the local economy.
“It will help create an impressive gateway to Granbury on Highway 51," Scott said. "A longtime vacant distraction will be turned into a showroom and manufacturing plant for some of the best outdoor furniture in the world. The challenging process of remodeling a long-vacant building has already reaped development rewards as the city planning department considered and made business-friendly modifications to their landscape and tree ordinance.”
Chamber officials predicted that with a $5 million capital investment in the project, the facility would immediately create 30 jobs.
