A hotel near Fossil Rim, Glen Rose hopes to honor the Senior Class of 2020 by donating a portion of its sales to a charitable organization.
Comfort Inn & Suites announced in a post on its Facebook page plans to donate a portion of sales made from May 22 -24 to LDL Foundation. LDL Foundation serves the Somervell County area by raising funds supporting environmental, health and educational projects, according to its website. The organization was founded in 1993 by three teachers – Liz, Dorothy and Leta.
The foundation raises funds through a bike race, payroll deductions from Glen Rose School employees, donations, grants, memorials and honorariums. LDL’s services include awarding college scholarships for tuition, books, room and board. according to its website.
Debra Jones, general manager for Comfort Inn & Suites of Glen Rose, told the Glen Rose Reporter that the business may give to more nonprofits in the future, initially with the Somervell County Food Bank known as “PaPa’s Pantry.”
