Greenville ISD had the highest enrollment among Hunt County districts, with 5,583 students during the 2024-25 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.
Of all students enrolled in the 2024-25 school year, 51.7% were boys, and 48.3% were girls.
Data also showed that most of the students were Hispanic, representing 52.7% of the Greenville ISD total enrollment.
Among the 10 districts in Hunt County, Caddo Mills ISD ranked second in enrollment numbers with 3,073 students, while Quinlan ISD enrolled 2,936 students and ranked third in the 2024-25 school year.
Greenville ISD roughly covers schools within Hunt County with its main office in Greenville.
In the previous school year, Greenville ISD also had the largest number of students among Hunt County districts.
Texas has the nation’s second-largest K-12 public school system, serving about 5.5 million students with a student-to-teacher ratio of roughly 15:1.
About 42,103 teachers in Texas, or 12% of the state’s 352,234 teachers, did not hold an active teaching certificate during the 2024-25 school year, according to a report from the Texas Education Agency. The share of uncertified teachers has increased from 3.8% in the 2019-20 school year.
